This script sucks. The in-depth analysis is not needed here, it's just... BAD. Please don't make anything like this again.

I enjoy the script. Maybe to some the script didn't make sense so they said it sucked, but to be honest this script was one of the best I've read and watched the movie for, so good work.

This movie was excellent I love it to death.

I read the script today and the watched the film. Ok it was bleak but I still enjoyed it for what it is, a different take on the the game series. The 4th game was my favourite which may have helped my opinion.

The reason that this script, and the subsequent film doesn't work is very simple. The lore and pace work best in a video game medium. It's a classic example of trying to fit too much exposition into a medium that drags when exposition takes too much out of the run time. I'm sure that the video games are fine, though I'm unfamiliar with them myself, but this movie doesn't work. It either doesn't take it's time or it takes too much time. Either way it flounders. I think that these writers, and director Uwe Boll could be great, but they don't seem to have the wherewithal to look at this thing from an audience perspective; the perspective of who it is being made for. Self expression and service of a small percentage of your audience doesn't always work in genre entertainment. This is a prime example of that fact.
